Sustainable periods are becoming more mainstream, but we understand there may be some unanswered questions for making the switch. Our FAQs cover all the hows and whys of using and washing reusable period products.

Our pants can be worn for up to 12 hours, but may need to be changed sooner – you know your flow best.

Our period pads will typically need to be changed approximately every 5 hours depending on menstrual flow, however they can be worn for up to 12 hours.

If the pad needs to be changed more frequently, a higher absorbency may be required.

Our products should be rinsed after use and can be stored for up to 48 hours before washing.

To wash, simply pop them in the washing machine and wash on a 30 degree cycle with non bio washing powder. No bleach, harsh stain remover or fabric softener should be used. For best results, hang products to dry outside on the line or indoors on an airer.

Don’t tumble dry.

Products can also be hand washed if required.

The number of reusable period products a person needs for a full period can differ depending on their cycle, how heavy their period is, and how often they wash during their period.

We would estimate that one person will need around 15 period pads for an average cycle, or 6 pairs of pants.

Additional products may be required for heavy periods or a particularly long cycle.

Yes. Our pads and pants can be used for light bladder incontinence.

We would suggest washing our products before use.

Yes, all our products are certified as Standard 100 by Oeko Tex.

This is a global certification awarded to clothing and textiles that are free from harmful substances. Products have been tested at all stages of production to ensure there are no harmful chemicals or residues present.

Yes – our moderate/heavy pads and moderate bikini and short period pants are suitable for heavy periods. Change as required to suit period flow.
